BIG: The Bright Ideas Gathering

2024

CIA Bootleg Manila partnered with LifeLab, Personal Collection’s in-house innovation center, to create and launch BIG — the Bright Ideas Gathering: an innovation expo showcasing the most powerful intrapreneurial ideas from over 400 PC employees. Built on the foundation of the LIKHA Creativity & Innovation Camp, BIG proved that great ideas don’t just come from the top — they thrive at every level of the organization.

Overview

A Bold Celebration of Intrapreneurship at Personal Collection

To spark innovation from the inside out, PC and Bootleg created LIKHA Camp — an intensive creativity and innovation program designed to activate PC’s employees with the tools, mindset, and structure to generate breakthrough solutions.

Spanning 10 workshop batches over 3 months, LIKHA Camp engaged more than 400 employees across functions and regions. Teams were formed around internal challenges — from training and productivity to org culture and employee care — and tasked to find real, implementable solutions through structured creativity.

BIG wasn’t just a show. It was the public stage of LIKHA Camp — a powerful celebration of employee-led innovation. Each of the 10 finalist teams built immersive, interactive booths, tackling real organizational challenges from multiple angles:

Talent attraction. Productivity. Employee engagement. Benefits. Culture.

The event was judged by a powerhouse panel:

Dean Robert Galang, Ateneo JGSOM

Dr. Corinne Romabiles, AIM

Jerome Tuguin, PC CEO

Kim Evangelista, PC Innovation Chairperson

Our Solution

🌱 The LIKHA Camp: Building Intrapreneurs

Designed and facilitated by Bootleg, LIKHA Camp involved 3 structured modules, each with research, fieldwork, and ideation components:

Module 1: The Creative Mindset & Innovation Process

Module 2: Inspiration Finding through Psychological and Sociological Technique

Module 3: Idea Generation and Concept Development

Employees were grouped into teams of 5–8 and assigned Innovation Spaces based on internal PC needs. Through multiple fieldwork assignments, interviews, and creative workshops, participants generated deep insights and developed actionable innovation concepts.

🚀 Finalist Selection& Mentorship

From the original 55 teams, 10 finalists were chosen. These teams underwent 2 additional months of mentorship with Bootleg — refining pitches, sharpening insights, and transforming ideas into well-structured solutions ready for incubation.

🎉 The BIG Day

Held as a 1-day live innovation expo, BIG featured:

• 10 interactive, themed booths

• Live judging by thought leaders and executives

• Awards for Best Pitch, Best Booth, and Brightest Ideas

• Immediate plans for incubation and implementation of selected innovations

What We Did

Bootleg’s full engagement included:

• Design and facilitation of the 10-batch, 3-month LIKHA Camp
• Innovation fieldwork and ideation coaching for 400+ employees
• Finalist selection and 2-month mentorship for BIG teams
• Event design, booth strategy, and live pitch guidance
• Post-event documentation and implementation planning

BIG and LIKHA together shifted innovation from theory to practice, from head office to frontline, and from siloed teams to a true culture of everyday innovation.

At PC, innovation is no longer a buzzword — it’s a movement.
